I hope you are enjoying a happy, healthy summer!
I’ve missed our conversations and look forward to more. I have so much I want to tell you about!
The Big News is…
Deep Cover won the 2012 Canadian Christian Writing Award for Romance!
And my sweet husband was there to share the celebration with me.
Fun News
After a harrowing night before, we had a fabulous time celebrating our 25th anniversary in Alaska. I plan to share more pics and stories with you in the coming weeks. We met so many interesting people and the scenery was breathtaking!
Bigger News
We arrived home from Alaska to an offer from Love Inspired Suspense for a fourth novel!!
Finding Home features an antique Cadillac so hubby and I enjoyed a cruise around the peninsula in the name of research.
The novel will, of course, be a suspense, but thankfully none of those nasty things I’d do to my heroine’s car happened while we were out and about.
Last but NOT least
My author copies of my October release arrived on Friday, so… I want to celebrate being back to blogging by giving away a copy this week.
Please leave comments today, Wednesday, and/or Friday for a chance to receive an early copy. I’ll post the winner’s name next Monday.
Your Turn: What have you been up to this summer?
P.S. Aspiring Writers, if you plan to attend the American Christian Fiction Writer’s conference in September, I’m one of the authors doing critiques and there’s still a couple of weeks left to sign up for one.
This summer I’ve been reading A LOT! *Smiles*
Alaska is so beautiful! I’d love to visit someday. 😀
Thanks so much for the giveaway! I loved book one and have yet to read book two (although I did request it at the library – hope they get it). 🙂

Welcome back, Sandra……..MISSED you!!! Congrats on your award for DC and the news of your 4th novel. Glad you had a great anniversary trip!
I’ve read a lot this summer…had to stay in battling sciatica and health issues.

Missed you too, Jackie! I am so sorry you’re battling sciatica and other stuff. It’s brutal. I’m praying you’ll find relief! Thanks on the congrats. 🙂
So excited about the award and news about the 4th novel. You will keep me in printed books at this rate. I finally have a Kindle, but am buying your books in print. 🙂 After all, not everyone has a personal friend that is an author!!!
My summer has been spent working 6 days a week and reading when I can.
Looking forward to perusing pictures from your cruise, and I love the old car….lol!
Would love to have an autographed copy of Critical Condition. -:) Please count me in!
God bless, Betti

I have been reading lots and I enjoyed Shades of Truth. Would love to have a copy of Critical Condition. Please count me in.
Got you in, Sara. So glad you enjoyed Shades of Truth. I’ve loved the hero of Critical Condition (Zach) since I introduced him in my first book and I am so excited about this book! Thanks so much for the congrats 🙂
I’m so happy you are back…
CONGRATULATIONS! CONGRATULATIONS! CONGRATULATIONS! CONGRATULATIONS!
Loved your pics of the cruise! Eric and I celebrate 25 years this month…
Thank you, Loree! And hope you have a wonderful celebration for your 25th. Big plans?!
Hi Sandra,
Looks like you’ve got a lot to celebrate. Congrats on your new contract, your anniversary, your new release,
and your award! What great news!
I’ve enjoyed having my youngest son home from college, and I helped get my parents moved to a retirement village. The summer has flown by, and it’s all been good.
Congrats again!

Thanks Jackie! Sounds like your summer has been full. So nice to have your son home 🙂
Congratulations on all the good news! This summer, I’ve been writing and doing research. I <3 reseach because it takes me to many interesting places.
Ah, yes, research can be a lot of fun!
Great news, Sandra, on all fronts! That research is hard work, but someone has to do it. lol
Ah yes, after several days of pulling out my hair over a scene that I just can’t make work the way it should…I’m thinking more research would be a welcome perk. 🙂
Congratulations on celebrating your 25th Anniversary!! My husband and I celebrate 25 years tomorrow. 🙂
And congratulations on all your other wonderful news! Sounds like you’ve had quite the summer. I look forward to reading Critical Condition.
We recently returned from a vacation the kids have always wanted to go on: a trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio–the roller coaster capital of the world. It was a great time.
Now I’m trying to prepare for the ACFW Conference. Hope I get to meet you there.
Congratulations Brenda on your big day! I hope you have a wonderful celebration. I’ll be sure to look for you at ACFW. 🙂
Welcome back, Sandra!!! Cyberworld just wasn’t the same without you!!! And congrats on your win, your anniversary and your new book deal. You really know how to celebrate, don’t you?
My summer hasn’t been nearly as eventful as yours. Though I’ve finally tamed my front yard and I’m some proud of that accomplishment, even it did take me the whole month of July to do it. It was just too hot to stay outside for very long.
And I’ve spruced up the inside of my house too — rearranged furniture and the like. Still have a bit more to do, but I’m feeling organized for the first time in over a year!!!!!
My saddest ever news is that my laptop died this weekend! I’m still in shock. Thankfully the public library is close and I’ve discovered you can book a computer for up to two hours a day (oh my, talk about withdrawal!!) I have ten minutes left from my hour today and I’m spending it with you. 🙂
Kav so good to hear from you!!! I am sooo sorry about your laptop. I love connecting with you in cyberspace. I hope you didn’t lose any important documents or photos!! I’m very proud of you for taming your garden, especially given how brutally hot this summer has been. I’m ashamed to admit that my perennial flowerbed is utterly beyond hope, and my house isn’t a whole lot better. LOL Thank you so much for spending your ten minutes with me!!!
