Frequently Asked Questions about Multi-author Series

Find answers to the most common questions I get about Guideposts‘ and Annie’s Attic multi-author series

No.
Although each series shares a common setting and recurring characters, every book is a complete, standalone story. You can start anywhere without feeling lost.

However, if you enjoy the world and characters, you may want to read the series in order. Many Guideposts and Annie’s series feature:
– Slow-growing friendships
– Evolving romantic threads
– Returning quirky townspeople

So reading in order can enrich the experience—but it’s never required.

Not at all.
You can pick up any of my contributions without having read the previous books. Each mystery is fully contained and written to stand on its own.

Not anymore.
While subscription was the original distribution method, most series are now also sold individually through major retailers in paperback editions, or digitally for kindle. In fact, backlisted Annie’s titles are now only available digitally on Amazon, or used.

Yes—most Guideposts and Annie’s titles include gentle, uplifting elements consistent with their reader communities. They are always clean reads, family-friendly, and focused on community, hope, and solving the mystery (for the mystery series).
